Cusco means belly button in Quechua.
It was the capital of the Incan empire, nestled in their world of mountains. Today it's streets are cobblestones and the market was as open and friendly as I remember (I was here 8 years ago). After settling in and coca tea, @musicfairie and I ate fried eggs, avocado and the most perfect rice at the market stall run by the señora who looked like she knew what she was doing.
It was delicious first meal here and now off to have a good nights sleep before we start the retreat tomorrow. I won't have WIFI at the center but I'll try to post one more time tomorrow before I sign off for a week.
