Making love is difficult, but it's learned

August 18 Yesterday was the most magical of Lima days. After trying to arrange a ceviche meet up and giving two wrong addresses to two closed restaurants, I had to surrender to the flow of life.

When I did, everything opened up. We found the sweetest restaurant right in front of our hotel and had such fresh tiradito with sweet potato. Everything we need is right in front of us. Then the craziest thing happened--the sun came out!

Lima spends months in a gray fog this time of year. People hadn't seen the sun in a while. Everyone was euphoric as we walked the boardwalk and found Parque de Amor full of beautiful people and mosaic lines of love poetry. My favorite line (translated to English with liberties: "Making love is difficult, but it's learned." --Antonio Cisneros
