I have a few favorite tarot cards and this is one of them. It's the card of the true yogi. It's the card that reminds us that our greatest power is in transcending the limitations of our minds and remembering that we can expect miracles. It takes so much strength to realize that life will support us if we loosen our grip, even just a little. Why is this so hard? I don't know. But I suspect it has something to do with confronting our true nature. Our true nature is love and connection. Our work here is to remember that even when all the outer illusory circumstances are rearing their ugly heads.
Drama keeps us small and oddly comfortable. Once we can hold strong in our bigger truth no matter what then life opens up. This usually isn't a quick process but it's a deeply satisfying one if we can remember to enjoy the path. We will forget this all the time. True strength is revealed in the remembering.
